1. Who we are
The moregrass.ie shop is run by True North Technologies Limited, a private company limited by shares, registered in Ireland with the Companies Registration Office, company number 562612. Registered office: Suite A2, No. 1 Charlotte Quay, Limerick, V94 TW5E, Ireland. VAT number IE3359117FH.
Our place of business, where we work from and where returns go, is Unit 4, Kilsheelan House, Shannon, Co. Clare, V14 PP66, Ireland.
You can reach us at [email protected] or +353 61 708 423.
Your order is covered by these terms as they stood when you placed it, and by what the product page and checkout showed you then: the price, the delivery charge, what the product comes with and its guarantee. If we change them later, that doesn't change your order.
2. These terms
These terms apply to everything you buy from the moregrass.ie shop, on the website, over the phone or through a payment link from us. Please read them before you order. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in them takes away your rights under Irish law.
3. Your order
- When you pay, we email you an order confirmation with a VAT invoice. That email is our acceptance of your order and makes the contract between us.
- If you choose to pay by bank transfer, we email you a pro forma invoice. Your order is accepted when your payment reaches us, and we then send your VAT invoice.
- If we can't supply something you ordered, we will tell you and refund you in full.
4. Prices and VAT
- Prices are in euro and include Irish VAT at 23%, unless shown otherwise.
- Consumers in other EU countries pay their own country's VAT rate, and the price is adjusted to it at checkout. Northern Ireland is charged the UK rate.
- Businesses in another EU country with a VAT number we can confirm through the EU's VIES service pay no VAT. The reverse charge applies, and you account for the VAT. If VIES can't confirm your number when you order, we charge VAT, and you can ask us to refund it once the number is confirmed.
- Deliveries outside the EU, including Great Britain, are charged without VAT. Import VAT and duty in the destination country are the buyer's to pay.
- The price you pay is the price shown at checkout. If we have made an obvious mistake in a price, we will contact you before sending anything, and you can cancel for a full refund.
5. Discount codes and deposits
- A discount code works as described where it was offered, until its end date or until it has been used as many times as allowed. One code per order.
- Some offers let you secure a price with a deposit. The deposit is paid per unit by the offer's end date, and the balance by the date stated with the offer. We send the goods once the balance is paid.
- A deposit is refundable. If the balance isn't paid by its date, we will contact you, and if you no longer want the order we refund your deposit.
6. Paying
You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the checkout, by card over the phone, through a payment link we send you, or by bank transfer against a pro forma invoice (due within 30 days). Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
7. Delivery
The delivery charge for your order is shown at checkout before you pay, and that is what you pay.
Our current charges:
| Where | Delivery charge |
|---|---|
| Ireland | €15.00, free on orders over €500.00 |
| United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium | €25.00 |
- Farm Map Whiteboards are printed to order with your own farm map. Once you have ordered one, finish your map in GrasslandTools and let us know it's ready; we print and send it from then, and will tell you how long when you order.
- Everything else: we usually dispatch within 5 working days of payment, and email you when your order leaves us, with tracking where the courier gives it.
- Orders of £135 or less for delivery to Great Britain can't be taken on the website, because UK rules charge VAT on them at the point of sale and we aren't registered for it. Ring or email us and we will arrange them with you.
- If your order is going in more than one parcel, we tell you what's in each.
- The goods are your responsibility from when they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate.
- If we can't deliver within 30 days of your order, or a date we agreed, you can cancel and we will refund you in full.
8. GrasslandTools access that comes with a product
Some products come with GrasslandTools access, and the product page says how much. At the moment a Grasshopper comes with a year.
If you are signed in to GrasslandTools when you buy, the access is added to your account. Otherwise your confirmation email carries a code and tells you how to redeem it at app.grasslandtools.ie. Using GrasslandTools is covered by its own terms.
9. Guarantee and faulty goods
- Everything we sell must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, as a consumer you are entitled to a repair or replacement, or in some cases a price reduction or a refund, under the Consumer Rights Act 2022. You have 30 days from delivery to reject faulty goods for a full refund.
- On top of those rights, we guarantee the Grasshopper for 24 months, the WeighRite Smartport for 12 months and the e-gate for 12 months, from delivery, against faults in materials and manufacture. The product page shows each guarantee, and the one shown when you order is the one you get. The guarantee doesn't cover damage from accidents, misuse, or wear from normal use on the farm, such as batteries.
- To make a claim, contact us with your order number or the device's ID. We will arrange a repair or replacement, and we cover the cost of sending a faulty item back to us.
10. Changing your mind
You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason, whether you are buying for yourself or for your farm business. How to do it, and what comes back, is in our returns and cancellations policy.
11. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care.
- We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, and if you are buying for a business, we aren't responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
- The Grasshopper, WeighRite and e-gate are tools to help you manage your grass and stock. Decisions made using them remain yours.
12. If something goes wrong
Please contact us first. We will try to put it right. If you are a consumer and we can't agree, you can contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) for advice. These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts can hear any dispute. If you are a consumer in another EU country, you keep the protection of your own country's law and courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on the site when you placed it.
